NEWSLETTER SPRING 2006

Ciao Gina’s Italy Friends,

It seems as though much time has passed since the February Bollettino. Some of you have contacted me to ask, “When is the next Bollettino?”  I appreciate your interest and enthusiasm for a Gina’s Italy update.
The big news includes two Walk, Wine & Dine.

Tours for May!  Each tour is as unique as the people who are involved. Both groups requested some cooking, markets, and an intriguing visit to a factory where some of the oldest ceramics are made. Both of course, will enjoy fine dining at exceptional spots discovered by Gina’s Italy. Of course there are always those unique surprises that are a must when traveling with Gina’s Italy.
To everyone we wish Buon viaggio!!!

September and October bring grand adventures for travelers with Gina’s Italy. First we have a group of artists who will study under watercolor instructor, Cindy Briggs. We meet in Rome September 10th to begin 12 days of on site classes. Cindy and I are thinking this is only the first of future painting exploration.  If you would like more information please visit the site: Paint Italy

Following the Paint Italy group, Gina’s Italy escorts participants for Intro to Italy. These happy travelers come together from Bend, California South Carolina and Texas.  We meet in Florence for three days of in depth visits to the Renaissance birthplace. Then off we go into the countryside for five days. We will treasure medieval cities, castles, Etruscan sites, and perhaps have time for a massage or facial.  After the city reprieve we travel to Rome the home of our western civilization.  For more details you can read: Intro to Italy

Remember each tour becomes individualized with the interests of our vacationers. Herein lays the attraction to travel with Gina’s Italy. A trip to Italy becomes your dream vacation. A participant takes advantage of Gina’s Italy knowledge of the area and its people. Even more, special hidden treasures are yours to savor.  Come travel with Gina’s Italy. You will discover, really discover Italy.

Once again the precious product brought to us directly from Chianti in Tuscany was a big hit. In record time the entire shipment was sold out.

Remember to contact me around November should you not receive or read my announcement regarding the new year’s order. Fine extra virgin olive oil tastes unlike any oil you can find locally.  The first taste tells you so.  For more information go to: Extra fine olive oil

With over 11 years of traveling with so many extraordinary people, Gina’s Italy wishes to unite as many as possible for a summer reunion 2006. Look for your invitation in June. There will be food, stories, pictures and prizes. We hope you save the date and join us in collaboration with Pomegranate House and Garden in Bend, OR.

Gina’s Italy
is looking at 2007 with excitement. In addition to repeating the exciting and revisited Walk, Wine & Dine and Intro to Italy, we are planning to include another Italian Language Immersion class, a Paint Italy and another Intro to Italy however, beginning from Venice and finishing in Florence. The twist will include days in the country of Emilia Romagna, home of Bolognese sauce, Balsamic vinegar and Parmigiano cheese. Oh did I mention Barolo? The plans are to also visit Piemonte’s famous Asti and Alba region along with Lago Maggiore.  Look for all the updates coming this summer on the website: www.ginasitaly.com
It is perfect timing to set your plans for 2007. With small tours starting from 4-6 travelers, tours fill fast.  If you have a group of friends or family members who have been talking about that trip to Italy, this is the time to contact Gina’s Italy and to set the plans in motion. With Gina’s Italy one really discovers Italy.
