language along with watercolor instruction from Cindy Briggs creates the
ideal combination for an inspiring trip. the
culture, history and beauty of the region from hilltop towns, castles
and coastal fishing villages to museums, festivals and cathedrals. Explore & Paint
the scenic region with excursions to charming
destinations such as Assisi, Orvieto, Cascata delle Marmore, Lake
Trasimeno, Gubbio, Viterbo “City of the Popes”….an
artist’s dream.
A professional artist for over 20 years, Cindy Briggs is known for her
award winning ethereal sunlit cityscapes, dramatic passageways, and harmonious compositions. Her teaching style is
personalized and structured to adapt to many levels and styles. She generously shares
her knowledge, energy and enthusiasm with each student, nurturing the
artist and encouraging individual growth. While this workshop focuses on watercolors, those wishing to work in
other mediums or just come along are welcome. From a family of artists—Briggs went to college on an art scholarship
and earned a degree in Graphic Design with a minor in Art History. She
then had a successful career as an Advertising Art Director for 15 years
in San Francisco, LA and Seattle. She has studied with leading artists
including, her aunt, Ellie Weakley, Linda Doll, Jan Kunz, Eric Wiegardt,
Jean Grastorf, Carolyn Anderson, Frank Webb and Charles Reid.
A
Signature Member of the Northwest Watercolor Society, her work has been
recognized in numerous shows. Cindy is also a member of NWS, PAPO, OWS
and the High Desert Art League. Briggs is represented by: The Collection Gallery—Bend, Oregon,
Barclay Gallery—Sisters, Oregon, and Dill & Spowze Gallery—Sun Valley,
